Blindness

For more than two decades I have been an advocate of improving opportunities for blind people. In May 2014, I spoke with a gathering of teachers of the blind from across California. Here is the bulk of those remarks.

Please note that the man who introduced me misspoke on two counts. First, he said that I teach Admirals and Generals. In fact, I typically teach Captains, Majors, and Lt. Colonels. We only occasionally have higher-ranked officers in class. Second, he said that I have published eight books. In fact, I have published five.
